Personal Care Aide (PCA) Certificate training program offered by HHCA is the Department Education/BPSS approved 40 hour training program.   This course offers practical training designed to equip personal care aides with the skills needed to be an effective caregiver. Emphasis is placed on recognizing changes in condition, to whom and how to report such changes and accurately document. Skills include skin care, nutrition, fall prevention, home management and more.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the number of personal care aide jobs was expected to grow by 36% between 2018 and 2028. The average annual salary of personal care aides in May 2018 was $24,100 per BLS data.
